You're very brave, to try selling art of your originals at a con. Most people just go for fanart.

Mmm... actually this year I sold more fanart than I usually do. I barely break even each time so it's like I'm going more for the experience than the profit I guess

If you want to make a profit, definitely draw fanart. People are much more inclined to buy art of a series they're already a fan of than something they've never heard of.

Normally I almost never draw fanart, but if I'm going to bother selling things, I'm going to make something that's likelier to sell. If I thought I could actually sell art of my characters, I would. I suppose you have to do what you think is right - if you don't believe in selling fanart, you shouldn't. If I was less worried about making money, I'd only sell originals, but I need to cover the expenses of buying costume supplies and the con itself.

I loved it, Kido-san.. Specially the background, it's perfect! Maybe you're asking too much to yourself, wich is ok since that's how the improvement appears. =p
